Uganda gears up for Rhino Naming Ceremony

As Uganda gears up for the Rhino Naming Ceremony, the British High Commissioner, Ms Lisa Chesney joined the Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Ms Juliana Kagwa and the Executive Director of Uganda Wildlife Authority Dr. James Musinguzi for a high-level visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

The delegation was taken through the impressive progress in Rhino breeding, habitat protection, anti-poaching measures, and community engagement initiatives. This visit highlights the growing international support for Uganda’s conservation agenda and the importance of collaborative efforts in protecting the country’s only wild rhino population.

The Rhino Naming Ceremony will not only symbolically name Rhinos but also raise awareness, mobilize conservation financing, and foster national and international commitment to wildlife protection.

Together, we are securing the future of Uganda’s Rhinos and positioning Uganda as a leading destination for sustainable tourism.
