UCC contributes equipment worth UGX 60M to COVID-19 Taskforce

On behalf of the National Task Force, the Minister of Health Hon. Jane Aceng and the Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine yesterday received a donation worth UGX 345,000,000 from American Tower Corporation towards the procurement of COVID-19 test kits for UVRI.

On the same day, Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) also contributed an assortment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) worth UGX 60M to the frontline health workers in the COVID-19 response efforts.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary Dr. Diana Atwine also received support from Roofings Group for all health facilities (Regional Referral Hospitals, Health Facilities III and IVs) with free oxygen supply as part of their support to COVID-19 response.

This support continuous will enable health facilities to have constant supply and enable prevention of deaths due to oxygen.
