In a bid to reduce incidences of drunk driving, Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has reactivated the Red Card responsible drinking campaign in Kampala.
The campaign dubbed, “Your Night, Your Choices, Your Consequences. Don’t Drink and Drive”, the campaign is geared at helping people make informed decisions about drinking.

The initiative has rolled out activations in different malls in Kampala including Nakumatt Oasis, Capital shoppers Ntinda, Garden City and Shoprite Lugogo.

According to Rhona Namanya, UBL Corporate Relations Manager – Communications, UBL recognizes that their products are unique, and when misused they can be harmful.

“This campaign is geared at helping people to make informed decisions about alcohol consumption, including, choosing not to drink.
Uganda Breweries Limited has pledged to continue to drive the Alcohol in Society (AiS) agenda to ensure that the use of alcohol does not cause harm to consumers,” Ms. Namanya said.

UBL Scouts will continue to engage with consumers in bars at point of consumption, as well as other avenues like gas stations. UBL will also carry out responsible serve training with bar owners and bartenders.
