Turner Fashions showcases latest designs
Turner Fashions launched a fashion line where they showcased their designs at Sports View Hotel Kireka last Saturday.
Turner Fashions is a multi-cultural clothing line dealing in both gents and ladies wear. They are here to dress you up for any occasion right from office down to all kinds of parties and events you might be engaged in.
Christine Apio, a graduate in Business Administration from Makerere University Business School (MUBS) is the proprietor of Turner fashions who dropped the dream of being like most young corporate ladies to pursue her dream of fashion designing. “My fashion ideas started way back in 2014,” she recalls. She adds that in 2015, with the help of two friends, they thought of a business idea and agreed that a clothing line would do.
It is this idea that gave birth to Turner Fashions. “It started as a joke by us making our own office wear which in the long run earned us trust and a big clientele. In the long run, we had to satisfy the overwhelming orders which forced us to open a shop that has matured into a fashion line today”
The models were clad in trendy creative designs with the most having an African touch which proved the possibility of pulling off a trendy, stylish, smart look that still has one proudly having a connection to our African roots that fronts a sense of belonging.
Honourable Kato Lubwama, the Member of Parliament for Rubaga South who graced the occasion as chief guest urged the youth to work so hard and uplift their creativity to the level of it being economically rewarding to them.

The glamorous night left the audience enriched with variety of trendy designs and left us no excuse for not embracing what is truly ours. Indeed we have a lot to our exposure to touch up ourselves appropriately when we are tasked to dress and show up at any one time.

Finally Turner Fashions is evidence that every passing time events are taking a turn and fashion is being embraced much more in Uganda and it is definitely one to look out for. Well looks like fashion designers are stepping up their game and the competition is growing stiffer in the fashion world. All we have to do is sit back and watch, appreciate and embrace as everything unfolds.
