The Parliamentary Committee on Trade and Tourism has toured Rwenzori to assess the current trade and tourism trade in the region. The committee visited Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mweya Safari Lodge during the trip. The purpose of the trip was to find out the impact and assurance of the tourism industry in Rwenzori region.
Kampala Woman MP Hon. Nabilah Naggayi Sempala who is among the committee members said the recent violence affected trade in the area and that their visit was timely.
”Committee trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and Mweya Safari Lodge. Trade and Tourism committee of Parliament on the impact and assurance of the Tourism industry in Rwenzori region,” Nagayi posted.
