Love Loud is an organization that seeks to empower the youth between 18-30 years, through training and networking. It was founded earlier this year with an intention to formally start its operations in Uganda. This concert is going to serve as the launch of its operations.

Jeanne Bakesiima Atuhairwe, the Managing Director (Love Loud) had this to say: “The Love Loud Rave is going to be our launch pad in Uganda. However we shall have these raves every year, to give youth an opportunity to network and enjoy themselves…so every time you see Love Loud branding it is going to be about Great Music, Great people, and Changing Lives. Before the concert we are going to have 6 activations around town where ravers will get a sneak peek into the rave”

The Love Loud Rave is also going to attract other reggae and dancehall musicians from Zimbabwe and the finest DJs in Uganda. Every ticket purchase will qualify ‘the ravers’ for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to Dubai. Tickets are going for 20,000 ordinary and 50,000 VIP. However all through August; there will be early bird tickets sold at 10,000 ordinary and 40,000 VIP. “We want as many people as possible to come and experience this rave.” said Jeanne.

Love Loud is setting out on a path to mentor youth by setting a platform for these youth to meet their mentors in a fun environment.

“Love Loud aims at changing mindsets as a sure formula to changing lives. Our belief is that those who have been there should be in touch with those who want to be there as a way to save time and build lasting relationships, and sustainable development. We believe that the gap has always been in mentorship” said Solomon Kisakye the Brand and Communication Manager for Love Loud.

Who is Positive?

Born on the 20th March 1987 in Scarborough,Tobago,Joel Murray AKA “Positive” first came onto the scene with “Never Let Go,” a song he wrote and produced.

The song was No. 1 on the Gospel hit list in Trinidad and Tobago for more than five months. It was eventually put into rotation by the secular radio stations in Trinidad and Tobago, where it spread like wildfire to the hearts of many across the country. It was not long before the song became popular in Gospel and secular markets in places such as Costa Rica, Belize, Barbados, Bermuda, Bahamas. With this release, Positive landed a record deal with Lion Of Judah Sounds, a record label run by fellow Gospel Reggae artist Monty G.

To date, Positive has released 3 albums. The first, entitled “Never Let Go,” a 14-track compact disc that marks his foray into Gospel Reggae. He released his second album “Forever My King” worldwide on Dec. 4, 2012. Though Positive was the executive producer on  his album, it also features a team of producers from around the world such as Precision Productions (Trinidad), JVibe Music (Miami, USA), Romel Marshall (Jamaica) and Supa Dups (Miami, USA) just to name a few. This album is a testimony to the growth of this charismatic artist. It features collaborations with DJ Nicholas, Jermaine Edwards and a few others. One of the leading singles, “Highest Of Heights,” has been spreading through the airwaves signaling proof of a versatile artist and a phenomenal album.

The third album (released in 2015); Stand and Be counted boosted his career further when it debuted as number 9 on the Billboard charts. This was a very huge achievement considering that Gospel Reggae is not even recognized by Billboard. Stand And Be Counted also debuted at number one on the iTunes Trinidad and Tobago national Top Albums chart and peaked at 21 on the iTunes US Reggae Top Albums chart.

This has put him at the fore front of gospel reggae in the Caribbeans.  Even with all this success, Positive is an independent artiste but he has partnered with the FOX FUSE distribution label out of the United States to release his music.

His inspiration comes from so many challenges in life the most notable being the loss of his mother to cancer in 2007.However positive has lived up to his name and kept strong and optimistic. This is what he has to say about his mother’s loss “They say time heals all wounds, but time doesn’t heal all wounds it just makes them easier to bear,” he said of his losses. But, he is not dwelling on sadness and has since opened his heart to love again.”Now married he says “God was preparing me to start a family of my own and not to drown out in sorrow and today I’m happily married.”

Joel Murray Positive will be in Uganda on the 29th  September 2017 in a concert dubbed Love Loud Rave at the Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Entrance will be 20,000 ordinary and 50,000 VIP. He is coming along with his all band in what is promising to be the biggest Reggae and Dancehall party this year.
