Casino lovers have one special thing to brag about; the rebranding of Sunset Casino and Open House Bar and Restaurant. The new look and posh casino located on Buganda Road next to Watoto Church Central treated over 400 guests including the media to a special red carpet night punctuated with sumptuous food and favorite drinks.

The Chief Executive Officer Mr. Salim Karmali says the rebranding was necessitated by the ever changing face of Kampala’s entertainment industry, and trying to offer more to clients who enjoy playing casino games and love good fun entertainment and delicious food.

“We have not just invested in transforming the casino and improving the ambience but also introduced nightly live entertainment that can be enjoyed by all guests, such as weekly raffle draws, bingo nights, live dance shows and live music performances. As a casino our objective to offer new experiences that allow a guest to feel like they have seen something special while enjoying his or her favorite games. We are also focused on rewarding our guest with our loyalty card system that is always giving back whenever our guest visit us for night” Said Mr. Salim Karmali

Headlining the show will be Oriental Fire Dance group from South Africa who will be performing for a whole month in the casino and our very own Lilian Mbabazi and the Sundowners.

Oriental Fire is a collaboration of dancers from all over the world who share a passion for belly dance, fire shows and Bollywood dance and wish to share the beauty and energy of the amazing dance forms and the cultures they come from.

On the opening night the casino will be introducing the New Full House Card room which is the first dedicated card room to the sport Texas Hold’em, which is currently one of the world’s fasting growing competitive sports.

The card room will be opened with a 30,000,000 shilling guarantee poker tournament where players will be competing against one another for their share of the prize pool.

The Full House Card Room will also be launching the first poker league in Uganda where player will compete in regular weekly tournaments to be crowned the Full House Champion at the end of the league and a chance to compete in an international poker event with a 1 million dollar prize.

As Texas Hold’em is still a growing sport in Africa the Full house Card Room will also be offering free tutorial tournaments every week to introduce players the game and how to compete and win and the highest levels.

The Casino will open every day of the week from 2pm to 4am.
