Businessman and senior coffee farmer, Mr. Rwakakamba Morrison has hailed the practical method of work of the Minister of Works and Transport, Hon. Byamukama Fred. This comes after the Minister’s nonstop inspection of the ongoing road works across the country. He said this after Minister’s call to speed up works on Kira -Matugga Road.

“Hon. Minister (Hon. Byamukama Fred), I join the many in applauding your practical methods of work. You ask methodical and the right questions. The initial action on the Northern Bypass saved the country both time and cost overruns. Have you thought about NIGHT ACTION for infrastructure works? This may require special protocols, but it’s worth it. For Uganda to develop quickly, all 24 hours of the day must be put to full and optimal use,” Rwakakamba Morrison said.

Rwakakamba went on to give his views on the ongoing road works on Kiwologoma -Bulindo-Kira-Najjera Road. He gave his insights on what should be done to make it perfect execution.

“Works are still ongoing. Kira is not yet clean! The ever-present dust and mud, perhaps from the offshoot arteries, remain a concern. The concrete and steel heavy design offers limited greening opportunities in the middle and along the sides, with random non-gazetted stages for boda bodas. I hope robust street lighting is part of the plan! Some tarmacked arteries have open drainage and zero junction signage! Otherwise, I join the many to appreciate the progress. Mayor Bulamu, Minister,” Rwakakamba Morrison tweeted.
