StartTimes promises more local content

StarTimes, the providers of quality and affordable Digital Television Services in Uganda has promised to target more local content. This was revealed during a media breakfast at Sheraton Kampala Hotel on Thursday this week.
Mr. Franklyn Wang, The CEO of StarTimes  appreciated the media for the continued support during their 9 year of success in Uganda.
Mr Lule Isma, StarTimes Marketing Director  said local content is compelling, “no wonder, channels that broadcast in local dialect are more popular”.
He attributed their local content growth to the media influence over the last 9 years.
“We celebrate 9 years of success, and we love to thank all of those who have been there for us more especially our Customers and the media,” Isma said.
During the breakfast, the management of StarTimes gifted each media member a decoder and dish with their accessories.
Cleopatra Koheirwe, the Public Relations manager, StarTimes Uganda, said apart from local league, they are looking at adding more of entertainment and other local related content so to attract huge fan base in the
country.  She asked the media to
continue delivering positively for the digital television.
