“Did you know 90% of workers on SGR will be Ugandans and 10% foreigners. Work will be day and night. Non-stop for 42 months,” SGR posted.
|Meter Gauge railways are built with smaller curves. SGR’s 1.435m Gauge has wider curves enabling higher speeds and heavy loading. |
An artistic impression of harmonized SGR at Kampala Fly Over & current Meter Gauge Railway at Access Road show that Kampala Fly Over will be above SGR.
Meanwhile SGR has thanked Project Affected Persons (PAPs) who have paved way for SGR construction.
When compensated, SGR gives each person three months to prepare to move. SGR management has revealed that PAPs have been cooperative so far.
Some of the already compensated persons are already roofing their new houses.
