Sarah Babirye Kityo hails Equity Bank Uganda for supporting Sports

Hon. Babirye Sarah Kityo, the member of Parliament for Bukoto East in Masaka City who also doubles as the founder of Kityo Sarah Foundation, has hailed Equity Bank Uganda for supporting Sports in the country. Sarah is a sports personnel and former Head of Uganda Netball Federation has been instrumental in promoting sports and fighting for good governance and accountability in the game.

“Thank you Equity Bank Uganda for loving and supporting sports. An excellent day of golf, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Thank you to my fellow Parliamentary Golf Team members for making it such an enjoyable occasion,” Hon. Sarah Babirye Kityo posted.

Her appreciation comes after a great day on the Entebbe golf course which brought together leaders from different sectors through the spirit of golf, teamwork and engagement.

Equity Bank was honoured to participate in a friendly golf match with the Members of Parliament Golf Team, promoting the sport and building connections.

Equity Bank Uganda’s Non Executive Director Henry Rugamba took on 4 ball with MPs.

The Bank continues to create spaces for connection, wellness, and positive engagement.

Early 2024, Sarah was jailed for the second time as a result of fighting corruption in sports, but she ended that year by being recognised as one of Africa’s 2024 pioneers of Integrity and Good governance in the game.

After her return to Parliament for the 12th, she vowed to fight for sports during her term of office.
