Rich Gang on its knees after boss’ death
With the death of its founder, boss and funder, Ivan Semwanga who died last week in South Africa, the Rich Gang is on the brink of collapse.
The Brooklyn City Colleges boss was the engine, founder, funder and leader of the gang.
With Ivan no more, the group’s members King Lawrence, Ed Cheune and the self made new president Don Bahati may struggle to maintain it given the fact that the first two have had issues with money and their being in South Africa is in jeopardy.
Actually sources say Cheune is barred from entering into South African soil anymore. During the burial of Ivan yesterday, Sheikh Muzaart and Godfrey Kirumira challenged the group to show their worthiness by not just calling themselves Rich Gang but to do something developmental other than bragging around splashing money in bars.
“Life will never be the same without you Ivan,” King Lawrence said. Don Bahati wants to take over the group leadership and keep it firm for the good of their fallen boss.
