Rebecca Kadaga receives prestigious award in Morocco

Marrakech, Morocco, became the epicenter of African pride and achievement as the African Heritage Awards unfolded at the prestigious Savoy Le Grand Hotel.

Among them, Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, Uganda’s 1st Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs, stood out as she received the African Award for Good Governance. This recognition celebrated her exceptional leadership and resonated deeply with the remarkable strides Uganda has made in women’s emancipation and governance.

Rt. Hon. Kadaga has long been a trailblazer and a symbol of resilience in Ugandan leadership. In 1984, she made history as the first woman in Uganda to open legal chambers, setting a precedent for women in the legal profession.
