In their first event of the year the PRAU members will don their running kit for another edition of the exciting PRAU Monthly Run to be held on Friday 27th January 2017 at the Lugogo Indoor Stadium.

Steve Kiprotich

Stephen Kiprotich is an Olympic marathon champion, having won gold at both the 2012 London Summer Olympics and the 2013 World Championships in Athletics.

“This monthly run is special to all the PRAU members as they get to interact with an internationally recognised and award winning long-distance star. While we cannot match up to his speed we are in to learn on the bigger lessons of perseverance and performance which all our members can apply in their careers” said Cynthia Mpanga, President of PRAU.

It is noble of Stephen Kiprotich, who despite the fame and fortune, has found time to run with PRAU members: “It’s important that I encourage people to run and keep fit”.

The PRAU monthly run continues with its long tradition of instilling a sense of work life – balance while also meeting and interacting with Uganda’s top professionals. In 2016 some of the notable guests of the run included Flavia Tumusiime and Robert Kabushenga.

“We will continue to use these monthly runs as a way of interacting with our members whom we encourage to keep fit” said Cynthia Mpanga. “The PRAU monthly run will start off at Lugogo Indoor Stadium starting at 5.30pm with a warm up session after which the official run will commence. We invite all our members and the general public to this great event” signed off Paul Mwirigi, the Director for PR at PRAU.
