Vice President H.E Jessica Alupo has today presided over the launch of the National Cleaning Days at Usafi Market in Kampala.
Speaking at the launch, H.E Alupo said the implementation of this initiative will improve public health, reduce the burden of preventable diseases, lower household and government expenditure on treatment, and contribute to cleaner, healthier, and more productive communities in the country.
The government has earmarked every last Saturday of the month as National Cleaning Day across the country with each individual supposed to participate in the exercise from 7:00am to 10:00am. During that day, there will be no movement of Vehicles, Motorcycles or Bicycles. Watch the space!!
