Police offers Shs1OOm to anyone with information regarding Susan Magara gruesome murder
Police have put a reward of sh100m to whoever helps in the arrest of the suspects in the gruesome murder of Susan Magara according to Abbas Byakagaba.
“We have not found the people behind Susan’s murder, but we are willing to work with anyone to see that we get him or them,” says Police’s Abbas Byakagaba.
Susan Magara who was a cashier at Bwendero Dairy Farm (BDF) was found dead today (Tuesday) morning at Kitiko, between Kigo and Kajjansi, three weeks after she went missing.
The 28-year-old daughter of John Magara, the director of BDF, disappeared on February 7 at Kabaka Njagala in Rubaga Division, according to Police.
Susan’s distraught relatives had since lost hope of finding her alive, and Tuesday’s discovery along the Entebbe Expressway reaffirmed their fears.
Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Abbas Byakagaba told a press conference Tuesday evening that Susan’s body had been taken to Mulago for a post mortem examination, before being prepared to be handed over to the family.
“We have not found the people behind Susan’s murder, but we are willing to work with anyone to see that we get them,” he said.
Byakagaba added that they had recovered an audio recording of a male they suspected to be the killer.
According to Byakagaba, whoever is able to identify the voice from the phone recordings will be rewarded sh100m.
IGP Gen Kale Kayihura expressed heartfelt condolences to the family of late Magara.
He said in the course of investigations, Police has in its possession a voice recording of one of the suspected murders.
