Hundreds of good people, young and old, took part in the annual Save River Rwizi Marathon 2024 at Booma Golf Course in Mbarara City.
Marathoners participated in the 5KM, 10KM, and 25K races to create awareness and raise funds to clear the river of rubbish which is threatening its existence.
The annual marathon is organized by Abahumuza Development Group led by Seth Murari. The proceeds from the marathon will be channelled towards cleaning River Rwizi.
