National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) is constructing the largest sewage treatment plant in East and Central Africa.
The plant when completed will serve over 800,000 people in the Central business district per day, treat over 45million litres of waste water per day from the Nakivubo channel (Improving the quality of water in the lake) and generate over 630kw of power from Biogas.
The plant is set to be commissioned very soon. The corporation and contactors are working around the clock to deliver the project very soon.
