NWSC employees kick off tree planting campaign
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NNWSC) recently launched a one million tree planting campaign and the exercise is already underway.
The campaign will cover the whole country and NWSC employees at Pader-Kalongo branch embarked on planting trees exercise.
NWSC last month launched 1 million trees for Uganda tree planting campaign across the country.
“Pader-Kalongo branch planting trees. NWSC recently launched 1 million trees 4 UG tree planting campaign across the country,”NWSC posted.
Meanwhile NWSC is upgrading Arua Water treatment plant to produce 12 million litres of water per day. The upgrade will see it move from 4.5million litres of water/day to produce 12 million litres of water per day.
NWSC continues to warn the general public against theft by tempering with or bypassing water meters.
“Theft by tampering with or bypassing water meters not only costs National Water and Sewerage Corporation billions of shillings a year but also imposes a cost on each and every paying customer. Water theft is a serious offence and can result into significant fines as well as criminal prosecution by NWSC. Stop Water Theft,” NWSC.
Over 30 construction sites were nabbed stealing water in Munyoyo-Buziga last week. “Stealing water is an embarrassing sin, Repent,” NWSC urges the general public.
