

NWSC commissions 1,000,000 litre capacity water reservoir
National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) has this evening commissioned the new Kanyanya-Gayaza-Kasangati water project.
The Minister for Water and Environment Hon Sam Cheptoris, Minister of State for Environment Hon. Kitutu Mary and NWSC Managing Director Dr.Eng Silver Mugisha commissioned the project alongside NWSC top management, stakeholders and customers.
After commissioning, Minister of Water & Environment Hon Sam Cheptoris, State Minister of Environment Hon Kitutu Mary, NWSC Board members, NWSC MD Dr.Eng Silver Mugisha and our dear customers engaged in tree planting aimed at greening the environment at the new 1,000,000 litre capacity water reservoir.
The new 1000000 capacity water reservoir is meant to stabilize supply on Kanyanya Hill, Gayaza, Kasangati and the surrounding areas.
Minister of Water and Environment Hon Sam Cheptoris, State Minister for Environment Hon Kitutu Mary, NWSC Board Chair Dr.Eng Christopher Ebal and NWSC MD Dr.Eng Silver Mugisha also commissioned new public stand pipes to serve NWSC customers at Kasangati Market.
NWSC also met its customers, stakeholders and local leaders at Wampewo play ground to discuss project specs of the new Kanyanya-Gayaza-Kasangati water system commissioned earlier today.
