NUP welcomes new seven members of Parliament into the party

The National Unity Platform (NUP) Parliamentary Caucus yesterday welcomed new members of Parliament who have joined the party ahead of 2026 General Elections.

Wakiso District Woman MP Hon. Betty Ethel Naluyima said the party welcomes every Ugandan who is willing to join them.

NUP President Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine welcomed the new 7 members yesterday including vocal Hon. Lutamaguzi.

“The NUP Parliamentary Caucus welcomes all MPs who have officially joined the Party. We welcome other Ugandans to the Party. Lets work together to have a Uganda that respects Constitutionalism,” Hon. Betty Ethel Naluyima said.

A total of 471 politicians from various political parties, including seven Members of Parliament officially crossed over to join the National Unity Platform (NUP) yesterday.

The seven MPs who officially joined are Hon. Luttamaguzi Ssemakula Paulson Kasana (Nakaseke South County), Hon. Joan Namutaawe (Woman MP, Masaka District), Hon. Nsanja Patrick Kayongo (Ntenjeru South), Hon. Nantongo Fortunate (Woman MP, Kyotera District), Hon. Lukwago John Paul Mpalanyi (Kyotera Countty), Hon. Batuwa Timothy Lusala (Jinja Municipality West), and Hon. Isabirye David Aga (Jinja North Division).

Gomba East MP hopeful Ms Mary Flavia Namulindwa also welcomed the new members saying it’s victory for NUP.  “We are excited to have these new members in our party, we are growing stronger each day,” Flavia Namulindwa said. Ms Flavia Namulindwa is set to contest for Gomba East MP seat in 2026 General Elections.
