Nakiwala vows to restore Express FC’s lost glory

Owek. Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi who was last week appointed chairperson of Express FC has vowed to restore the club’s lost glory days.

The politician was also recently appointed Minister of State for Youth & Children Affairs has had a landmark week.

First, President Yoweri Museveni appointed her state minister for youth and children affairs before she was appointed Express FC chairperson. This was confirmed by Francis Ntalazi, who has been Express chairman last season, according to the Federation of Uganda Football Association records.

For the last five years, the leadership of Express has been a contentious subject. It has been a tug of war involving Bbale Mugera, Kavuma Kabenge and Ntalazi. The controversy has even pulled in club patron Prince Kassim Nakibinge.

Nakiwala comes at a time when the club’s performance on and off the field has greatly been affected by leadership wrangles and she has promised to restore the glory days at the club. Watch the space!!
