

Miss Uganda 2016 – Miss Leah Kagasa receives brand new Huawei P9, its latest flagship
Miss Uganda 2016-2017 Ms. Leah Kagasa won herself a brand new Huawei P9 smartphone, beating 20 other contestants to the title. 1st Runner Up was Simple Kyohairwe, while 2nd runner up was Rita Mutoni.
All the 4 regional winners also won themselves brand new smartphones from Huawei to include Miss North – Joan Odung, Miss West – Teddy Mukunzi, Miss East – Sharita Maruti and Miss Central – Shamilla Nakyanzi.
While speaking on the side-lines at the Miss Uganda grand finale held at Serena Victoria Ball Room on 15th October 2016, Marketing Manager Huawei Uganda Jean Baguma said, ‘Huawei has contributed a sponsorship package of 20 Million Ushs worth P9 smartphones and cash towards the organization of the Miss Uganda 2016. We are proud to have been part of making history again in Uganda as a new Miss Uganda was crowned.’

Baguma explained that by using Huawei’s latest flagship – P9, the beauty queens will be able to boost the 2016 Miss Uganda theme by capturing their journey in great quality pictures using high image focusing speeds, delivering photos and videos with superior richness, clarity and authenticity. This is because the P9 is all about re-inventing smartphone photography.
Baguma further explained that the Huawei P9 is purely targeted to the fashionable and trendy customers. The Huawei P9 features two rear-facing camera lenses, with more light and better clarity enabling one to capture detailed high quality pictures both in good and low light conditions. The P9 excels in both picture quality and image focusing speed, delivering photos with superior richness, clarity and authenticity.
