Ministry of Health assesses COVID-19 Response activities at Mutukula Border

A team from the Ministry of Health led by Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine today visited Mutukula Border to assess the COVID-19 response activities taking place.

The visit was also intended to ascertain available space to put up a permanent laboratory to test samples from truck drivers for COVID-19 and other diseases later on.


This is also aimed at reducing the turn around time of test results.

The team is also on a support supervision visit to assess the COVID-19 response activities in Mbarara, Isingiro, Kabale, Kyotera and Masaka including the various points of entry; Bunagana, Cyanika, Mirama Hills, Katuna and Kikagati.

“Support supervision for COVID-19 response activities in Kyotera, Masaka, Mbarara, Isingiro and Kabale. We are focusing on assesssing our strengths and weaknesses at the different Points Of Entry including Mutukula (today), Kikagati, Mirama Hills, Bugango, and Katuna. Stay safe,” Dr. Diana Atwine said.
