Make running a regular habit for better health, Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa tells the public

The Deputy Speaker Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa said he was delighted to flag off and participate in the Mbarara City Marathon this morning, an event designed to celebrate and showcase the city’s rich culture and the iconic heritage of its long-horned cattle.

The residents of Mbarara were incredibly welcoming and enthusiastic about the run.

Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa encouraged everyone to make running a regular habit, as each run could be a step toward better health and potentially a canceled doctor’s appointment.

He sent special thank you to Mbarara North Member of Parliament, Hon. Mwesigwa Rukari for organizing such a wonderful initiative.

This year, more marathons are planned in Fort Portal, Ntungamo, and Gulu and the Deputy Speaker is already looking forward to participating in them as well.

Meanwhile the Deputy Speaker has congratulated all muslims upon ending their fasting advising them to continue doing good and shunning evil.

“To all Muslim brothers and sisters, may Allah accept your fasting and all your good deeds. Ramadan has gone, but Allah is alive. Let’s continue to do good and shun evil. May Allah’s grace shine upon your families. Happy Eid-Al-Fitr!”
