Kira businessman Mr. Lukwago Jimmy (Hon.), the CEO of Kira Young Foundation (KYF) had centred all his efforts in dethroning Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda from Kira Municipality MP seat but it didn’t go as planned. The famous Kira businessman was all set and ready until the party (National Unity Platform) he has loved and sacrificed for so long decided against giving him the flag bearer slot and opted for the now current Kira Municipality MP Hon. George Musisi.
Of course Mr. Lukwago had the capacity to run as an independent and win but he opted to remain loyal to his party like he had always although top management defies his loyalty for the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
The denial of ticket to Lukwago was a blessing in disguise for the real estate dealer who took it easy and headed to do what he knows best ‘The Real Estate business’.
He is now fully focused on big commercial real estate in prime areas of Kampala Metropolitan and it’s been thriving for him. He is now one of the most trusted real estate dealers around Kampala.
Disputed Loyalty to NUP
If you are close to Lukwago Jimmy or you have known him for some good years, you can easily tell how loyal he is to the National Unity Platform (NUP). The man has done it all, the man has sacrificed his all for the party but still the NUP top management has doubts over his loyalty to them. He has been bragged an NRM spy, he has been labeled working for the state but Lukwago Jimmy is none of those. Actually he is one of the most loyal members of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party.
MP Dream Still alive
Mr. Lukwago Jimmy still maintains and hopes to represent Kira Municipality on the floor of Parliament in future. He said he will do it whether under NUP or not but his dream is represent the people of Kira Municipality in the legislative Assembly and he must fulfill it.
Community Service
Despite not holding any mandate in politics and management, Lukwago Jimmy has said he will continue doing community work for the people of Kira Municipality under his Kira Young Foundation (KYF). Through this foundation, he reaches out to the needy and takes part in community development like supporting religious institutions, Educational institutions and several other community work. Through Kira Young Foundation, he also supports local talent in sports and entertainment. Lukwago is truly a blessing to the people of Kira Municipality!!
