The State Minister for Refugees Relief and Disaster Preparedness, Hon. Lillian Aber, has delivered condolences message from government and President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni to the people affected by Kampala -Gulu Highway fatal road crash on Wednesday this week.
Hon.Lillian Aber who doubles as Kitgum District Woman MP delivered deepest condolences on behalf of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Government. The families of the deceased each received UGX 5m while the injured each person received UGX 1m.
“On behalf of H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, I conveyed Government’s deepest condolences and solidarity to the families affected by the tragic road accident that occurred on Wednesday, 7th July 2026, along the Kampala–Gulu Highway in Omoro District, In line with Government’s commitment to support those affected, the families of the deceased were given (UGX 5 million per family) to assist with burial arrangements, and to the injured, (UGX 1 million per person) to support their medical treatment. May the souls of the departed rest in eternal peace, and we wish the injured a swift and full recovery,” Hon. Lillian Aber said while delivering the condolences.
