The Lens Foundation runs several projects but one that is quite clear to them is building up the youth through their self esteem project.
According to Shillah Risper, one of The members, “Self esteem is an integral part of a well rounded individual. We run sessions with activities where we ensure we: praise their effort rather than a traits, encourage resiliency by reminding them that no one is perfect, help them avoid making comparisons & encourage self love/acceptance,”.
They also go on to teach them especially teenage girls that physical appearance doesn’t have to be a source of anxiety centering on self love and Empowerment.
