Kampala Restaurant Week Officially Closes In Pompous Gala

The inaugural Kampala Restaurant Week, which has quickly endeared itself into the hearts of many Ugandans, came to a fitting and pompous end on 13th June 2015 with an elegant cocktail held at Yujo Japanese Restaurant on Kyadondo Road, Nakasero.10929208_1461060277524349_7949706007109195327_nThe Kampala Restaurant Week which run from June 2nd to June 13th saw 40 of Kampala’s top restaurants make delectable creative meals at large discounts and had Kampala’s foodie elite and thrill seekers hopping from restaurant to restaurant in a bid to experience the various flavors of Kampala on a pocket friendly budget.1379993_1461060354191008_1614510113419463966_nThe closing event, emceed by former Big Brother Housemate Charlie Denzel Mwiyeretsi, was also an Awards Gala to celebrate the various individuals that contributed to the social media success of the #KlaRestaurantWeek hashtag and more importantly to celebrate the emergence of Yujo Japanese Restaurant as the People’s Choice Top Restaurant for Kampala Restaurant Week 2015.1907485_1461060264191017_6878025170232313606_nDuring the Restaurant Week, diners were asked to rate their restaurant experiences on the Official Restaurant Week Webpage by rating restaurants on 1 to 10 scale with consideration to Ambiance, Food, Service and general Amenities.10014607_1461060260857684_5228539703705401069_nAt the close of voting on 10th June, Yujo Japanese Restaurant emerged the highest rated restaurant with a poll of 8.3/10 from 132 voters who showed their appreciation for the restaurant’s vast cuisine offering during the week and their closely attentive service.10255451_1461060364191007_5217157155292818869_nOver 4,000 votes were cast in this exercise.
