Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Sharifah Buzeki together with KCCA Director of Public Health KCCA Dr. Sarah Zalwango have launched a massive campaign to get Kampala cleaned.
They spent the whole of yesterday cleaning Nakawa alongside Mayors Nubian Bukenya of Nakawa Division and Eng. Ronald Balimwezo Nsubuga, the Kampala Mayor.
The exercise was also joined by Operation Wealth Creation civil coordinator for central who also doubles as President of Federation of Uganda Social Media influencers, Mr. Edson Kirabira who was part of the cleaning exercise at Makerere Kivulu.
Kirabira called on the people of Kampala to put politics aside and join hands and make Kampala clean. KCCA ED Buzeki has said they will work day and night to make sure Kampala is cleaned fully.
“Kampala cannot be cleaned in one day, this is our city. People come and join us and we clean our city,” Edson Kirabira said. He thanked Gen. Salim Saleh for embracing and supporting the exercise.
