Julius Murinzi gives update on ICOA 2024 Convention Status

The CEO/ President of the International Community of Africa (ICOA), Mr. Julius Murinzi would like to provide an important update regarding the 2024 ICOA Convention, originally scheduled for October in Boston, USA. Below is the full statement;

“Unfortunately, we are currently facing significant challenges in securing the necessary funding to proceed with the event this year.

Despite ongoing efforts to raise financial support, I want to clarify that, contrary to some circulating rumors, I have not received any Funding from the GOVERNMENT OF Uganda or its MINISTRIES . All attempts to engage government bodies for sponsorship and financial backing have been unsuccessful to date. These setbacks have forced us to reassess our plans and consider alternative options for the convention’s future.

Additionally, it is worth noting that none of the ICOA members on our platform—except one had completed their convention registration payments. This has compounded the financial constraints and impacted our ability to move forward with our original vision for the convention.

We deeply appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate this challenging situation. Although this year’s convention is in jeopardy, we remain hopeful that with continued collaboration, we can create new opportunities to strengthen and empower our community in the near future.
