Jack Pemba appointed president of Elite Martial Arts Federation
Renowned Ugandan sports philanthropist Mr Jackson Akim Pemba aka Jack Pemba has kicked off the year on a very good note. Latest info reaching our desk has it that the loaded tycoon has been appointed president of the Africa Elite Martial Arts Federation. According to a brief statement issued, Pemba was appointed by World Federation of Elite Martial Arts president Mike O’Brien.
Also present at the function held at the body’s offices in Dubai was Sultan El Sayed, the president in charge of the Middle East and Asia. Accordingly, Pemba has tasked Ugandan fighters to avail videos of previous fights and their CV’s in order to be considered for upcoming events starting with the WFM Dubai open in March.
It is not the first time Pemba is venturing into the sport having worked closely with Thailand based martial artist and Muay Thai kickboxer Umar Ssematta over the last three years. He also sponsored body builder Ivan Byekwaso.
The loaded Pemba early last year was also unveiled as Warriors basketball club sponsor in a deal allegedly worth Shs250m over the next five years.
