How Women in FinTech Magazine were impacted in the last edition

As HiPipo prepares for the 2027 Women in FinTech Magazine, here’s a brief look back at the impact of the last edition.

The 2023 #WomenInFinTech Hackathon and Summit brought together 30 creative teams from Uganda and Kenya, turning innovative ideas into real digital financial solutions powered by Mojaloop and Level One Project principles. With expert guidance including insights from Paul Baker participants built strong, inclusive MVPs ready for real-world impact.

Hon. Joyce Nabbosa Ssebugwawo highlighted the importance of diversity, mentorship, and empowering women to lead in FinTech. The edition reaffirmed the vital role collaboration and innovation play in expanding financial inclusion across Uganda.
