Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo, the Sironko District Woman MP elect, has Lobbied 1.45billion Estimated project from Itracom fertiliser ltd to construct a farmer service centre in Sironko district, this will cover Warehouse Rehabilitation, Cold Storage, And Equipment to boost agricultural production In Sironko District.
Hon. Mafabi Asha Nabulo says the proposed investment aligns with the Government’s agenda to strengthen the agriculture sector through increased local agriculture production.
Speaking about the importance of partnerships in the sector, Hon. Nabulo said local production reduces costs, strengthens supply chains, and ensures that farmers can access fertiliser when they need it. Bugisu must expand local production and adopt Itracom fertiliser products to enhance productivity while protecting soil health.


She said this when Itracom Fertilizer Limited country representative Jean Luc Bigirimana paid a courtesy visit at Sironko Adaptation center on Wednesday.
Mr. Bigirimana said, the fertiliser manufacturing plant is expected to create about 5,000 jobs for local people in Sironko district.

He added that the company is motivated by Uganda’s availability of key raw materials, which will support the production of high-quality organic fertiliser and position the country as a major supplier within the region.
Meanwhile, Alex Nabende Guga Sironko district LCV chairman elect thanked Hon. Asha for creating a favourable environment for investment.
Nabende Emphasized that fertilizer will benefit local production.
“Local fertiliser production has the potential to greatly benefit farmers and the agricultural sector by improving access, reducing costs, and supporting food security,” he added.
