Frank Tumwebaze, Startimes Chairman discuss digital operations

The Minister of ICT and National Guidance Hon. Frank Tumwebaze has met with the Chairman of Startimes to discuss digital development and operations in Uganda.

Mr Pang, the Startimes chairman met the Minister at his office in Kampala recently and the two discussed digital operations in Uganda and possibilities of assembling digital Televisions. They also discussed other electronics development in Uganda.

The minister said the outcomes of the meeting were very positive especially with the activities of the ministry of ICT.

“The Chairman of Startimes, Mr Pang and his team paid us a courtesy visit at the Ministry of ICT Uganda. We discussed their digital operations in Uganda & possibilities of assembling digital TVs & other electronics in Uganda. Good prospects for ICT manufacturing ahead,” Frank said.
