Football Fans win big as Coca-Cola activates Jinja town

TVs and decoders up for grabs

Consumers simply have to buy any of our sodas and check under the crown at their favorite hangouts

This week, football fans in Jinja town were pleasantly surprised when 2018 FIFA World Cup sponsor and beverage giant Coca-Cola Uganda visited bars and hangouts where World Cup matches were being screened across the town and surprised them with loads of exciting prizes such as t-shirts, caps and free flowing Coca-Cola products.

This activation was in celebration of the Company’s historic association with the FIFA World Cup – a relationship that started in 1976 and has seen Coca-Cola officially sponsor the FIFA World Cup™ since 1978.

The activations have so far seen the soft drinks’ company visit Mbarara, Mbale, Jinja, Kabale, Gulu, Arua and many other districts encouraging football fans to watch the World Cup while consuming their favorite soft drinks and stand a chance to win.

Coca-Cola Brand Manager Ms. Miriam Limo notes that there are many more prizes to be won. “We are giving football fans an opportunity to walk out of their favorite hangouts with brand new TVs and decoder sets. All they have to do is buy our product as they watch their favorite teams play, check under the crown and our teams will hand them their prizes.”
