The newly sworn in member of Parliament for Sheema South constituency in Sheema district Prof. Elijah Dickens Mushemeza has promised to work together with leaders and people of Sheema South to develop the area quickly.
He also promised to work hand in hand with other MPs from Sheema District.
The MP made the joint call on Wednesday at Hill Top Gardens in Naguru Kampala, during his swearing-in party.
In the 11th Parliament, Prof Mushemeza said he will use his expertise as a professor of political science and development management to advise the government on partinent issues such as the public debt, decentralisation policy, review of the public management act, corruption, local content in the oil and gas sector and many others.
The MP also said he will promote unity, development including Household income in Sheema South.
His term of office has started today and he will be representing the people of Sheema South for the next five years.
