Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa pledges support to NWSC in their quest to enhance water supply in Uganda

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa, after a visit to National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC)’s Katosi Drinking Water Treatment Plant, pledged full support for NWSC in their mission to enhance water supply in Kampala and Uganda.

He commended NWSC’s accountability and efficient use of funds and offered insights for sustainable water supply.

NWSC Managing Director, Dr. Eng Silver Mugisha, outlined the need for additional funding to complete essential projects. He also called for a reconsideration of electricity tariffs to invest in water production.

Together, NWSC and Parliament are paving the way for a reliable and accountable water supply system in Uganda.
