

Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa hands over office of Government Chief Whip
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has officially handed over office of Government Chief Whip to his successor Hon. Hamson Obua at Parliament this morning.


Rt. Hon. Tayebwa advised Hon. Obua to operate the office with a high level of humility, team work and respect to all Members of Parliament for good coordination.


“I have officially handed over the office of the Government Chief Whip to my successor, Hon Hamson Obua, at Parliament this morning. I am highly grateful to the President, H.E Kaguta Museveni, for not only having believed in me and entrusted me with this important position, but also supporting me to succeed at my duties,” Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa tweeted.


Rt Hon. Tayebwa also appreciated the Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja who opened all her doors for him and gave him room to perform.


He encouraged her to render the same extra support to his successor and once again congratulate Hon. Hamson Obua and wished him good luck.
