Deputy Speaker Thomas Tayebwa assures the country on Oil development

The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has assure the country no one will use Parliament of Uganda to frustrate the development of Oil Industry in Uganda.

The Deputy Speaker said this while officiating at the belated International Women’s day celebrations in Kakumiro yesterday.

He condemned some activists who recently attacked the French President asking his government not to support Total to develop our oil.

He assured the residents that no one will use Parliament of Uganda to frustrate the development of our oil industry.

Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa said he was amused at the level of creativity and Agricultural productivity in Bunyoro.

“It is amazing to see how different groups of men, women and the youth are utilizing their skills to earn a living through sewing and tailoring of bags and clothes, weaving baskets, baking and farming,” Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa said.

He also visited the construction site of Kakumiro District Local Government headquarters and thanked the government and Rt Hon. Robinah Nabbanja for the remarkable development.

He was delighted for the big turn up of his colleagues, Members of Parliament at the belated International Women’s day celebrations in Kakumiro District.

” I thank the Rt.Hon. Robinah Nabbanja for her vision to construct the NRM house where 300m Cash has been collected. I also delivered the President H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s contribution of 60M and Rt. Hon Speaker Rt Hon. Anita Annet Among’s 25m. I thank them,” he added.
