Deputy Speaker hails Ugandans in California for being ambassadors
The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa has congratulated the Ugandan community in California for being good ambassadors of our country.
In response to their complaints on being conned back home when buying property, the Deputy Speaker urged them to always use registered lawyers instead of family members and friends.
He said he will also arrange a meeting between relevant MDAs and diaspora leaders to listen to and address their concerns ranging from passports, national IDs and land grabbing.
Together with his wife, Rt Hon. Thomas Tayebwa joined Ugandans in California for belated Uganda Martyrs Day celebrations at St. Genevieve Parish, Panorama City, Los Angeles last weekend. The celebrations were presided over by Archbishop John Baptist Odama.
