Court stops Stanbic Bank from selling Pepper Publications assets

The Court of Appeal in Kampala has stopped Stanbic Bank Uganda from selling Pepper Publications Ltd assets.

Justice Cheborion Barishaki issued an interim order stopping Stanbic Bank Uganda from attaching, selling or in any way disposing off loan securities for the facility purportedly advanced to the facility. The Justice made the ruling on 18th October in Kampala.

The court also stopped the bank from further charging interest on the monies claimed from respective transactions.
