The Kampala stop of CeCe Winans’ ‘More Than This’ Africa Tour will now take place at Lugogo Cricket Oval, following a change from the initially announced Kololo Independence Grounds.
Organisers explained that the move was prompted by a national state event scheduled at Kololo during the same week. The new venue, they say, provides an equally spacious, accessible, and secure environment for fans to enjoy the highly anticipated night of worship on Thursday, August 28, 2025.

“We want this to be a seamless and memorable worship experience,” said a spokesperson from Faith Collective, co-organisers of the event. “Lugogo Cricket Oval offers the perfect setup to host CeCe Winans and thousands of her Ugandan fans.”

All previously purchased tickets remain valid for the new venue, with prices unchanged: Shs50,000 (Regular), Shs150,000 (VIP), and Shs250,000 (VVIP/Golden Circle). Tickets are available online at cecewinans.com.
Fans can expect a soul-stirring evening led by the multi-Grammy Award-winning gospel icon, with performances by Ugandan gospel acts Anna Makula, Proclaim, and a surprise guest artist before CeCe takes the stage. Gates open at 2:00 PM, local acts start at 7:00 PM, and CeCe Winans will perform at 8:30 PM, with the event closing at 10:30 PM.

With 15 Grammy Awards and countless faith-filled hits, CeCe Winans is one of gospel music’s most celebrated voices. Her Kampala show promises to be a powerful encounter of worship, praise, and inspiration — now set against the backdrop of Lugogo Cricket Oval.

“I’m so excited to come and worship with you,” CeCe Winans said in a message to Ugandans. “It’s going to be a powerful night—you won’t want to miss it.”
