Bushenyi–Ishaka Municipality has received a major boost in its health sector following the official commissioning of a borehole at Kashenyi Health Centre II, a project spearheaded by the Lions Club Entebbe. The initiative is expected to significantly improve access to clean and safe water, a critical component in healthcare delivery.

The commissioning ceremony was presided over by the Mayor of Bushenyi–Ishaka Municipality, Honourable Byaruhanga Nestor Richard, who applauded the Lions Club for their timely intervention.

He emphasized that reliable water access is essential for maintaining hygiene standards, preventing infections, and ensuring effective patient care at health facilities.Accompanying the major was Hon. Andrew Nimwesiga a Prominent Leader who declared his intention to contest for the Position of the speaker Bushenyi -ishaka municipal council for the term 2026-2031.

His Presence underscored the importance of local leaders are placing on improving public health infrastructure.

In his remarks, Hon Andrew Nimwesiga expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Lions club of Entebbe for extending support to Bushenyi ishaka municipality.He noted that the establishment of the borehole would have a lasting impact on both patients and health worker’s at Kashenyi Health center 11. “Water is Life “,he stated.

This borehole will not only improve sanitation and hygiene at the facility but also reduce the burden of Patients and staff who previously struggled to access clean and reliable water.Its a significant step towards strengthening health care system, he said .
