Bryan White fulfills promise to fund youth projects

Hundreds of Youths set to start fresh life after quitting city criminal gangs

Through his Bryan White Foundation, Bryan White last evening kicked off funding of several projects started by different youths in Kampala at Auto Spa, Munyonyo.

For the last week one, Bryan has been engaging and preaching to the youths who have been involved in several criminal activities like snatching phones, printing fake money, selling and using banned drugs like marijuana, narcotics, prostitution, house break ins, driving and riding robbers to mention but a few within and around Kampala.

He warned them against indiscipline saying for them to turn into useful humans, they must behave, love the country and what they do as well as have hope in what they do.

Bryan warned them against being used by persons seeking selfish interests.

The youths wrote different projects proposals and yesterday, the activist kicked off with two groups. The Kawempe group was given Shs 7m which had the largest number of criminal gangs. Ggaba group received Shs 3m and promised to engage in fishing to be able to improve on their income generation. Like the foundation theme says ‘Awakening the Youths from poverty’, realistically it has started to mature.

On top of starting capital, Bryan White Foundation will go on to inspect the projects and if more funds needed, he will provide it.

Individuals confessed on how they have been carrying out different crimes in town especially phone snatching, cars, printing fake currency etc. Bryan White Foundation promised to fund groups formed by the youths ranging from drug addicts, drug sellers, prostitutes, kifeesi and all other criminals earlier in the week.

Bryan White also warned those trying to sabotage his program saying that they will not succeed in any way. He said although he has a hard task with the youths, he will handle it at whatever cost and promised success.

“Look, these guys are still young and can reform, it’s not too late for them, we will do our best to help them,” he added. He will resume funding on Tuesday next week.
