Police Spokesperson AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi and two other police officers have been shot dead today morning.
Kaweesi and two other police officers were shot dead by unknown assailants on a Motorcycle about 100 metres from his home in Kulambiro, Nakawa Division in Kampala.
Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson, Mr Emilian Kayima confirmed the Friday morning shooting.
“This morning, one of our senior colleagues AIGP Andrew Felix Kaweesi was gruesomely killed as he was going for duty. He was killed at about 9:30 am along with his body guard, Kenneth Erau and driver Godfrey Mambewo. It is very unfortunate incident,” Mr Kayima told journalists at the crime scene.
Kaweesi was yesterday on NTV responding to Human Rights report on Kasese killings. He said Uganda was not a failed state saying the Kasese killings were lawful. “Everyone is safe in Uganda, there is no need of worring,” Kaweesi said.
