Bell Lager announces platinum sponsorship of 5 Star Madness
Bell Lager has unveiled its sponsorship of the annual 5 Star Madness Comedy Show organized by Uganda’s renowned sketch comedy group, Fun Factory.
This year’s show is slated for 15th December at the Kampala Serena Hotel and tickets are being sold at UGX70, 000 for Silver, UGX100, 000 for Gold and UGX 2 million for a VVIP table. They can be purchased from National Theatre, online via Easy Ticket or at Serena Hotel.
While speaking to our sources at National Theatre, home of Fun Factory, Maureen Rutabingwa Bell Brand Manager said,
“This is the biggest comedy show of the year. This time, as you laugh to Fun Factory’s jokes, you can sip on an ice-cold Bell Lager and toast to a perfect evening. Bell is all about powering those celebratory and fun moments. What better way to do that than sharing a couple of laughs with friends over a drink?”
The highly anticipated event will have different comedians outdo themselves blending most of the hottest and funniest comedy skits that capture the current trends in society especially for their fans who never get the time to watch the weekly shows.
“We will take a jab at the highlights of the year adding a funny twist to them that is definitely going to crack you up. We’ve also added a jazz touch to the show. We will have performances from instrumentalist, Joseph Sax and his band,” said Richard Tuwangye, a founding member of Fun Factory.

Early this year, Bell Lager announced sponsorship of Fun Factory’s weekly comedy shows dubbed “Comedicine”. The announcement was followed by changes to the weekly shows to now feature a 30 minute live acoustic music experience and cocktail in the theatre foyer before the comedy show in the auditorium.
For the build, up to the event, the over 17 comedy group members are seriously preparing for the show and have put on hold their weekly humorous shows.
“We want to give our fans the best, so we have taken off a few weeks to prepare for 5 Star Madness, the biggest annual comedy show in Uganda” Said Hannington Bujingo another member of the group remarked.
