Behind the scenes at Nadia Kabahita Matovu’s Shs 25m ‘Gender Reveal Party’

Gender reveal parties are an event for parents to celebrate finding out their baby’s gender, and have become increasingly popular over the last decade. Usually only one of the parents knows the gender and will surprise the other, or none of the parents will know and a family member or close friend shall organize the reveal.

In this case Nadia Kabahita Matovu’s husband Yassah Matovu Youma knew the gender of their unborn baby and Nadia had to anxiously wait to find out what it is.

The glamorous party attended by who is who from the rich families of Kampala was hosted at the Pearl of Africa Restaurant, Kampala Serena Hotel.

Sources say the party cost the couple a whopping Shs25m and was as colorful as ever. The décor was a top notch and on point.

Nadia’s husband Matovu wore blue for “team boy” and Nadia wore pink for “team girl”, though both of them said they didn’t have a gender preference. “We just want a healthy baby,” Nadia said.

Their families and friends came dressed in white and the decor theme of the party was an Enchanted Garden.

The reveal was done using cold fireworks and confetti, and to Nadia’s surprise, the two are having a baby girl! “I am so excited to be having a mini-me and my husband is happy to be having a little princess, “Nadia said.
