We handed over sewing machines, opened a tailoring shop for Damali Nabagereka who was one of these teen mothers and we gave out equipment used in hair dressing. it is your contribution and generosity that saw us achieve all this and we are grateful for it. We later visited God’s Way High school in Maganjo and interacted with students where we discussed issues concerning Menstrual hygiene and we did all this Yesterday 28th May which was international menstrual hygiene day. We then had a session of Counseling and empowerment where Monica the co_founder Girl Up Uganda and Diana from Diana foundation spoke to these students. We most importantly took an hour to learn a skill. Hand sewing of a reusable sanitary pad which is a skill we so believe every boy and girl should have for the benefit of themselves and the people they love. We had a beautiful day and we thank you all for contributing towards the work that Caring Hearts Uganda does,” Barbie posted.
