Abenakyo Quiin crowned Miss Uganda 2018
There was glitz and glamour at Kampala Sheraton Hotel as Miss Uganda Foundation announced its new beauty queen.
The beauty pageant which saw 22 girls compete for the crown, concluded on Friday as a 22-year-old student, Abenkayo Quiin, from the Kyabazinga land was crowned the winner.
Abenakyo, a student of Business Computing at Makerere Business School, claimed the crown from Leah Kagasa — who has held it for two years, including one gap year where the pageant didn’t make happen.
She comes from Mayunge, a district in the Eastern Busoga region of Uganda. 20-year-old Tyra Margach was announced as the 1st runner-up and Aheebwa Patience Martha, 20, was the 2nd runner-up.
